Two Lafayette Radio Icons Have Passed Away

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - We have some very sad news: two Lafayette radio icons have passed away.

Radio station Z 105.9 announced on social media that two very familiar names and voices have died, and we are saddened by this news.

According to the radio station's social media post, Porsha Evans, a former Sunday host, and Tommy C, who was part of Z105.9 many years ago, have died.

We don't know the circumstances surrounding their deaths, but the entire radio community has been left in shock by this announcement.

For so many years, they were the voice of many in our community, and their passing has not only left colleagues in shock, but many in our community are mourning the loss.

Several local artists are paying their respects to both of the radio icons on social media, including Lafayette's own Cupid.
