Justin Bieber announced that he will release a collaboration, "10,000 Hours," with country duo, Dan + Shay, this Friday, October 4.

Though not much info is available about the single, Bieber did describe the new tune as "wedding music." According to Billboard, "10,000 Hours" was written by Smyers, Mooney, Bieber and Jordan Reynolds, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd. The track was produced by Smyers and will serve as the first song from Dan + Shay's upcoming fourth album.

What may seem like an odd collaboration, has been years in the making. Dan Smyers, Shay Mooney and Bieber share the same manager, Scooter Braun. The trio was first seen together at a 2014 impromptu SXSW show. Most recently, Smyers and Mooney attended Bieber's wedding to Hailey Baldwin in South Carolina on Monday, September 30.

The duo and pop singer have supported each other's music over the years on their social media accounts. Smyers and Mooney even created a jingle for Bieber's album, Purpose. During some of the Twitter interactions, fans freaked out over the fact that they confirmed that Bieber and the duo have previously been in the studio and had written together.
