
Louisiana Tragedy Unfolds: Man Dies After an Explosion in His Camper Trailer
A terrible situation unfolded on Thursday afternoon, March 12, as there was an explosion of a camper trailer, which led to a man's death, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, who is investigating the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
What Do Officials Know About The Fire?
While the investigation is continuing into the fatal fire, the Office of the State Fire Marshal says there was an explosion, and the resulting fire claimed the life of a 63-year-old man.
Office of the State Fire Marshal Chief Bryan Adams says the explosion happened in the camper trailer at around 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, March 12.
Firefighters with the St. John Fire Department were the group that responded to the blaze.
Adams says that firefighters got to the trailer, where they found it engulfed in flames. The man was inside a home adjacent to the trailer when they got to the scene.
First responders on the scene gave first aid to the victim, and the man was then taken by helicopter to a New Orleans hospital. Unfortunately, the man could not be saved.
What caused this blaze is not known at this time, but officials say it's an ongoing investigation.
