Louisiana School on Lockdown After Reports of Person With Gun Surface

A school in South Louisiana was put on lockdown Thursday, November 7, 2024, after reports surfaced that someone had a gun in their possession.

KLFY News 10 reports that everyone on the campus of Iota High School was under lockdown after there was a report of a person on or near campus with a gun.

Several police agencies responded to the campus and we will provide more details here as they become available.

Those in the community of Iota should avoid the area as police continue their investigation.
