Much of Florida is bracing for a major hurricane and the expected landfall is late Wednesday night.

Hurricane Milton may not make landfall as a Category 5 storm, but the impacts will be catastrophic for many along the west coast of Florida.

Officials expect storm surge to reach 10-15 feet in some areas, which could ultimately wipe out some communities and neighborhoods.

While many have left the area where landfall is expected, in the Tampa Bay area, some have elected to stay put, thus putting themselves in harm's way. The mayor of Tampa said in an interview with CNN that if people stay, "They will die."

We hope for the best but know that there will be damage in Florida, and if you want to help in the recovery process you can do so by dropping off supplies in Acadiana. For more information on that, click HERE.

Now, let's turn to some of the LIVE camera shots along the west coast of Florida. Here are several different shots that you can watch as the storm approaches "The Sunshine State."

We are praying for all of you in the path of this storm, and soon help will be on the way. '
