Louisiana law enforcement officials are hoping the public can help them identify two men they say are responsible for stealing multiple cartons of cigarettes from a store room.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson, the theft happened on the night before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 27. He says two men walked into the Circle K convenience store at 1325 The Boulevard in Rayne, where they were able to steal several dozen cartons of cigarettes from a storage location.

The cigarettes had a retail value around $4,000. The theft happened at around 11:46 that morning, and the men were seen leaving in a gray Nissan Sentra with no visible license plate.

What Is The Description Of The Suspects?

Gibson says the first suspect is described as being around five feet, six inches tall, with a medium build. He can be seen in surveillance video wearing a pair of jean shorts and wearing a green jacket.

The second suspect is described as being around 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with a heavy build. He can be seen wearing a red shirt along with a red jacket and red shoes. The man is also wearing camouflage pants.

Sheriff Gibson is asking anyone who might have any information about the men or the situation to call Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers at 337-789-TIPS (8477). When you communicate with the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers group y'all call remains anonymous.
