Usher is hitting the road, and he's got a message for his fans: "Yeah!," he's probably coming to a city near you. The R&B superstar recently unveiled his Usher: Past Present Future Tour, which will coincide with the release of his much-anticipated album "Coming Home" this Friday. The timing couldn't be more perfect, as Usher is also slated to entertain millions with his performance at the Super Bowl 58 halftime show in Las Vegas this weekend.

The tour marks a significant moment for Usher, "celebrating both his illustrious career and his future contributions" to the music industry. Starting in Washington, D.C., this August and wrapping up in Chicago by October, the tour will cover 24 cities across the United States. But for fans in Louisiana, the big question remains: how close will Usher get to The Boot?

Though Usher's tour itinerary doesn't include a stop in Louisiana, Gulf Coast fans aren't entirely out of luck. The closest Usher will come to Louisiana is Austin, Texas, at the Moody Center ATX on October 7 and three days prior in Dallas on the 4th. It's not next door, but for the dedicated fan, it's a worthwhile road trip away to catch the "Confessions" star live.

Usher's return to touring is a big deal, especially considering it's been a decade since his last tour, The UR Experience, took place from 2014 to 2015. His Las Vegas residency, which concluded in December after 100 sold-out shows, only fueled fans' desires to see him perform across the country. The tour is expected to be a mix of old classics and new hits, celebrating the 20th anniversary of his groundbreaking album "Confessions."

For those eager to secure their spot at one of Usher's shows, ticket sales will fire up a lot sooner than later. Citi card members and Verizon users can snag presale tickets starting February 7, with general sales kicking off on February 13 at LiveNation.com.

So, while Usher might not be making a direct stop in Louisiana, his Gulf Coast fans have a golden opportunity to see him perform in Texas. It's a bit of a trek, but for the chance to see a music legend live, it just might be worth the trip.
