A post from the Youngsville Police Department in North Carolina has been circulating in the Lafayette area. To clear up any confusion, this is not Youngsville, Louisiana, but it is easy to see how it could be confused.

Early Wednesday morning, around 1 AM, Youngsville Police responded to a burglary at the Youngsville Gun Club in North Carolina. A forklift was used to remove the metal gates covering the main entryway. A video of the incident has since been posted in hopes of identifying the individuals and can be viewed further down in the article.

The owner of the gun club located at 132 Franklin Park Ave., Jason Gladwell, spoke with WRAL News. "You can prepare for a lot of things,”  Jason Gladwell said. “You can not prepare for someone stealing a forklift and running through a steel cage and breaking into your business.”

Video footage shows what looks like three black males breaking into the store and leaving with firearms. In the footage one suspect is seen wearing a 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' sweatshirt, another is wearing a dark green jacket, and the last suspect was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt. The suspects were all wearing dark-colored pants and left in a black or dark-colored four-door sedan, according to police.

A video was shared by WRAL of the three suspects using a forklift to break into the Youngsville Gun Club Wednesday morning.

We know exactly what they did, how long they were in, and we are tracking everything and we have by a very good record what’s in the store and what’s not in the store.

Police ask that anyone with information concerning this burglary contact Officer S. Heustis at sheustis@youngsvillenc.gov.
