After captivating the palates of Acadiana residents for over four years, Scratch Farm Kitchen has officially reopened its doors at a new location, elevating the farm-to-table dining experience in Lafayette. Located at 2918 Johnston Street, the new venue is situated across from Moncus Park in the Winnwood Shopping Center.

The restaurant has doubled in size from its original downtown Lafayette location on Garfield St., boasting an expanded kitchen and increased seating capacity. "The move to Mid-city Lafayette allows us to broaden our offerings. We're introducing grab-and-go meals and picnic baskets, making it convenient for our customers to enjoy a delicious, locally sourced meal," said Jamie Harson, the owner of Scratch Farm Kitchen.

One of the highlights of the new location is the addition of central air conditioning—a feature conspicuously absent from their original space. Harson noted, "It's made a world of difference. We've seen a noticeable uptick in repeat customers who are relishing our more comfortable accommodations."

True to its ethos, Scratch Farm Kitchen continues to prioritize farm-to-table dining, ensuring all dishes feature fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Their varied menu of breakfast and lunch items offers something for everyone. A visit could mean indulging in the 'Pretty Plate,' a vegetable-stuffed delight, a hearty chicken lunch wrap, or a seasonal salad with the freshest picks from local farms.

Operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, with most dishes priced between $11 and $25.

Adding to the ambiance, artist Ben Adam Koch is in the process of adorning the restaurant's walls with intricate nature-themed murals. "It's like stepping into a magical forest," said Harson. "Between the food, the art, and the community, we're more than just a restaurant; we're an experience that makes everyone feel at home while enjoying a healthy, locally sourced meal."

Lafayette residents and visitors alike are encouraged to explore this gem that's contributing to our flavorful culinary scene. For more information, follow along @scratch_that_midcity on socials.
