Fall Festivities Arrive in Lafayette with Parc de Oaks’ Pumpkin Patch
Fall has officially arrived, and what better way to usher in the season than with a pumpkin patch? Parc de Oaks, Lafayette's first food truck park located at 3302 Moss Street, is excited to announce its inaugural pumpkin patch starting the weekend of October 7 and 8.
The pumpkin patch will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with additional hours on Fridays, October 13 and 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. Entry is free, and although parking spaces are limited, attendees are encouraged to carpool.
The event promises a plethora of activities for the whole family. Attendees can pick out the perfect pumpkin for painting, take part in seasonal food and drinks from about seven or eight food truck vendors, and let their kids run wild in the Kids' Zone equipped with games and face painting. There are also several photo opportunities with vibrant pumpkin backdrops where visitors can capture their fall spirit—be sure to use the hashtag #parcdeoakspumpkinpatch when sharing those magical moments.
Two special wellness events are also scheduled. Parc de Yoga by Ascend Wellness will host beginner yoga sessions on Saturdays, October 7 and 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. to help visitors find their zen amidst the pumpkins.
Fall Fit with UFit will motivate attendees on Saturdays, October 14 and 21, starting at 9 a.m., with the aim to "Fall into Fitness." Attendees are advised to bring a water bottle and yoga mat for these activities.
Not to be missed, the Get Your Game On Mobile Trailer will be on site on Sundays, October 8 and 29, from 2 to 6 p.m., featuring an exciting mobile virtual reality gaming experience.
So mark your calendars and get ready for some family-friendly fun this October at Parc de Oaks. Whether you're looking for a pumpkin, trying to find your inner peace, or ready to game, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
