New Recalls Issued For Kids’ Items You Might Have At Home
(KMDL-FM) The Consumer Product Safety Commission has had a very busy couple of days. Late last week and earlier this week, the CPSC announced four different recalls that affect children's products. These products have been found to pose a threat to the health and safety of your children. Here is what you need to know.

The product recalls that were recently announced were for products that were sold both in stores and online. The products ranged from infant items to items that would be more appropriate for older children. The product descriptions include clothing and personal care products.
How Does a Product Get Recalled?
Just to offer some background on the "recall process," the Consumer Product Safety Commission issues a recall when a product has been found to present a significant risk to consumers. Those risks could include product defects or misinformation on the labels or packaging. A recall is also issued if a product is found to be in violation of published safety standards.
Over the course of a typical year, the CPSC will issue recall advisories for some 300 to 500 products. 2025 was an especially busy year for the commission as it issued 422 recalls covering some 40 million products. There were also additional safety warnings announced by the commission last year, bringing the total number of recalls and safety advisories to 542 for the year.
Four Products Posing a Danger to Children Have Recently Been Recalled
Among the most recent items just recalled by the CPSC are HALO Magic Sleep Suits. These suits are being recalled because the zipper heads can detach. If that happens, the zipper head could be considered a choking hazard. There have been 15 reports of the zipper heads coming unattached, but no injuries have been reported.
The affected products were sold at halosleep.com and via websites for Amazon, Target, and Walmart. The recall affects products that were purchased between September 2025 and February 2026.
The batch codes PO30592, PO30641, and PO30685 are included in the recall. “HALO Magic Sleepsuit” appears on the front of the sleepsuit, and “Made in India” appears on the sewn-in label and hang tag. You may submit a claim for a $50 coupon to replace the suit by visiting this website.
Children's Pajama Pants Recalled Over Flammability Issues
The next recalled item also comes from the sleepwear department. The CPSC has issued a recall on certain styles of pajama pants. The reason for the recall is that the black stripes on the pants violate mandatory standards for flammability of children's sleepwear.

The CPSC recall suggests the pants pose a burn hazard and risk of serious injury or death among children who use the product. The affected pajama pants were sold in children’s sizes 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14. The size and “Forever 21” are printed on the red and black label at the waistband of the pants. The item number 01334347 is sewn-in on the side-seam label below the bar code.
The pants were sold at Forever 21 between September 2025 and November 2025. The cost was about $25. Consumers should stop using the pajama pants and contact Unique Brands Com at 888-684-5375 or email recall@forever21.com for a refund.
Popular Children's Building Set Subject to CPSC Recall Notice
The next recalled item is from the toy department. There has been a recall issued for Cubimana Island Storm Building Sets. The reason for the recall is that the Chinese-manufactured product does not meet the mandatory safety standards set for toys.
The issue is related to the items' LED lights. Apparenlty the battery compartments contain "coin batteries". These batteries can be removed from the toy and then swallowed by children.
These items were sold via Amazon between October 2025 and January 2026. The price was about $30 each. The recalled building sets include 781 pieces of multi-colored building blocks and come in a black box with images of a pirate base and a pirate ship. The model number “HG1004” is printed on the front of the box.
In order to get a refund, here is what you need to do. Throw away the building set and send a photo of the disposed product to productrecall@cubimanatoys.com
The final product on the recently recalled list is not a product designed for use by children. However, it is likely used by parents or grandparents, and because of a packaging issue, there could be a danger to small children.
Hair Growth Product Recalled - Presents a Danger to Children
The product in question is Tomum Hair Regrowth Treatment. See, it's not really for kids. The issue is that the product does not come with child-resistant packaging. Such packaging is a requirement for products that contain minoxidil.
The danger from the product would come in the form of accidental ingestion. So far, no injuries have been reported. The products were sold via Amazon from March 2025 through September 2025. The cost was about $20.
Affected products have a silver bottle with a blue wraparound label and a black cap. The bottles are packaged in a blue box. To receive a free replacement with two child-resistant bottles, consumers should send a photo of the discarded product to Bellka at tomumcs@gmail.com.
