10,000 Pounds Of Meatballs Recalled Over Safety Concerns

(KMDL-FM) Nearly 10,000 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen meatballs have been recalled as part of a safety advisory from the United States Department of Agriculture and the Food Safety Inspection Service. The meatball products were distributed for sale nationwide.

The major concern, according to the notice issued by the FSIS, was contamination from a foreign material. In the case of the meat product,s there was a concern that metal fragments or pieces of metal from the manufacturing process could have been included in some packages of the recalled product.

One of the major concerns with this recall is the date of production on the recalled products. According to the FSIS, the recalled fully cooked, ready-to-eat meatballs were manufactured in July 2025. Specifically, July 30, 2025. This means that the products could have been sold some time ago and may still be stored in home freezers.

The products that have been included in this recall are from Rosina Food Products of West Seneca, New York. The product in question is the 32-ounce packages of "Bremer Family Size Italian Style Meatballs". The packages contain approximately 64 meatballs per pack.

Recalled Meatballs Sold Nationwide at Aldi Stores

The recalled meatballs were shipped to and sold by Aldi stores nationwide. There have been no reports of illness or injury associated with this recall.
