NEW ORLEANS, La. (KMDL-FM) - On Sunday (2/8/26) the Krewe of Carrollton Mardi Gras parade began rolling on Magazine Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. As thousands gathered to have some fun and catch beads and throws, one float in the Krewe supposedly had different plans.

According to fox8live.com, riders on one of the floats in the Krewe of Carollton allegedly began "aggressively" throwing beads at NOPD along the parade route. Eventually, all the riders on this particular float were ejected.

Jonathan Morris, a Senior NOPD Public Information Officer, tells WWLtv.com the ejection of Float 10 and all of the float riders happened at around 4pm Sunday (2/8/26) after it was determined the riders were targeting and allegedly aggressively throwing beads at police who were posted along the Mardi Gras parade route.

The New Orleans Police Department says the throws were intentional.

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's statement via WWL -

Absolutely appalling. They should be held accountable. A quick way to ruin Mardi Gras and make it more dangerous for everyone. The NOPD, Troop Nola, and their partners work countless hours during the Mardi Gras season to keep it safe for everyone who lives and visits. This conduct was contemptible.
