Louisiana Lottery Confirms $50,000 Powerball Winner
(KMDL-FM) The person responsible for making sure the check-writing machine at the Louisiana Lottery office in Baton Rouge has plenty of ink had better be on their toes. Lady Luck has apparently taken a shine to Louisiana, and now, for the second Powerball drawing out of the last three, a ticket sold in the state has been confirmed as one of Powerball's big winners.
Where Was Louisiana's Latest Powerball Winning Ticket Sold?
This past Wednesday, July 9th, the Louisiana Lottery revealed that a $100,000 Powerball winner was sold in the state for that drawing. We have confirmed the winning ticket for that drawing was purchased at A-1 Farms in Plattenville, LA. Does anyone know where that is? Okay, Plattenville is an unincorporated community in Assumption Parish that's located on Bayou Lafourche.

There were no big Louisiana winners in this past Saturday's Powerball game, but in the drawing that was held last night, Lady Luck once again made her presence known as we have confirmed a $50,000 winner in Louisiana from that drawing.

Speaking of the drawing, here is how it played out for July 14, 2025.
The Powerball jackpot last night was an estimated $250.4 million. The cash payout for a jackpot win last night was estimated to be $113.5 million. But no tickets sold across the Powerball footprint matched the numbers needed to claim the jackpot. So, when we play Powerball again on Wednesday, the top prize will be an estimated $264 million for the annuitized jackpot and $119.7 million for the lump sum or cash payout.
Based on data released by the Louisiana Lottery, there were just under 2,500 winning tickets sold in the state for Monday's drawing. Of those winners, 976 of them opted to spend the extra dollar on the Power Play option of the game.
What Were The Powerball Numbers for Monday NIght?
As you know, there are nine ways to win playing Powerball, and to see if you managed to cash in on any of those ways, you're going to need the numbers from last night. So, here they are:
08 12 45 46 63 Powerball 24 Power Play x2
You can win $4 just by matching the Powerball or the Powerball plus one white ball. The prize jumps to $7 for two white balls and the Powerball. You'll also be eligible for a $7 prize if you match three white balls. The prize for three white balls and the Powerball is $100, which is the same amount you'd win for a match of four white balls sans the Powerball.
From there, you start getting into the serious money. If you match four white balls and the Powerball, your prize is $50,000, then comes the Match 5 Million prize for matching all five white balls with no Powerball, and ultimately, the matching of all the white balls and the Powerball earns you jackpot money. That was nine ways, right?
Point of purchase details have not been provided for the $50,000 Powerball winner last night, but we'll update the story as soon as we get those details. Tonight's big lottery game is Mega Millions. That game has a top prize of $90 million.
