Lafayette Parish Teen Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

LAFAYETTE, La. (KMDL-FM) - A Lafayette Parish, Louisiana teen has been arrested and is facing serious charges of possession of child pornography according to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Section.

KLFY reports that following an extensive investigation, a Lafayette Parish teenager is facing two counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials. The age of the teen has not been released.

"The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Section was forwarded the case after the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Division received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children."

Multiple search warrants were executed, eventually leading to the teen's arrest and charges of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.

The teen is currently being held at the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Home.

Because this is a current, ongoing investigation, no other information has been released at this time.
