Is This REALLY the Most Popular Snack in Louisiana?

You probably missed it, but in case you were too busy doing things like working and living life, yesterday was "National Snack Day."

Some of us celebrate that monumental holiday every day. (Okay, let's be honest, that's most of us.)

In Louisiana, we probably have a few more unique things things to snack on. You know, like boudin, cracklins, pickled pig feet...well, anything from a pig, really.

But for this exercise, we'll have to stick to normal, everyday kinds of snacks.

A market research company released a map that showed the most-searched snacks in every U.S. state. The results, as you can imagine, were kind of "blah."

Yeah, that's Cheetos coming in hot for our great state.

Now really, Cheetos?? I mean, it's great corn, cheesy puffed goodness and all, but is that the best we could do?

Looking at the map, Cheetos looks like a southwest United States kind of thing. Overall, it topped the most-searched snack for eight states.

What snack was tops amongst the most states?

Taking the top spot as the most loved snack across the country is Rice Krispies Treats.

Again, really? (Okay, I'll digress again.)

Coming in second...

Taking the next spot is Doritos. (Now, that's more like it.)

The flavored tortilla chips are beloved in 16 states, mostly in the South.

And those of us in the know, really know that Louisiana should have been amongst that number.

We've already told you that Cheerios took the top spot in the Bayou State. But what about other top choices?
