The town of Amite in southeastern Louisiana has lots to be proud of.

For one, the Tangipahoa Parish town is the seat of the parish. It's also home to the beautiful Blythewood Plantation House and the hometown of current Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

The latter is also the 2020 Heisman Trophy winner and, of course, is playing in the Super Bowl this Sunday.

But there is a little something that residents of Amite City (as it's also called) are not too proud of right now -- the new sign welcoming folks into town.

See if you can figure out the issue with the sign.

If you can read small print well, or just zoomed in, you noticed that the word "Governor" is misspelled. The "r" is missing.

Doh!

You bet the good people on social media caught it and were perplexed about how the sign was put up with no one catching the spelling error.

Word on the street is the town is working on getting that part of the sign fixed and replaced. And then everyone can just enjoy the pretty new sign in this historic town.
