DraftKings Releases Football Win Totals For LSU and SEC
How many wins will Brian Kelly's LSU Tiger football team accrue in the 2203 College Football Season? Well, DraftKings Sportsbook seems to think they know how wins the Tigers will get. The sports wagering site has released over/under odds for total wins for most of the major college football programs next year.
Of course, the DraftKings projections are for regular season wins and those who think they know a thing or two about college football might be tempted to put their money where their mouths are.
It's no surprise that the college football program that is forecast to have the most wins is the University of Georgia. DraftKings oddsmakers have set the bar for the Bulldogs at 11.5 wins. Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide is the "second choice" as far as most total wins in the SEC go. The Tide's over/under number for regular season wins is posted at 10.5.
Right behind Georgia and Alabama is where you'll find LSU. DraftKings has set the number for the Tigers at 9.5 wins, the site also set the same number for the Tennessee Volunteers.
Ole Miss and Texas A&M are projected to have 7.5 wins over the course of the upcoming regular season followed by Arkansas whose win total has been set at 7 for the 2023 campaign.
The team that's projected to have the poorest performance, at least in the win column, is Vanderbilt. DraftKings projects the Commodores' win total to be 3.5. Heck, I think Lionel Richie and his Commodores could get that many wins and they don't even play football.
Auburn, Kentucky, Missouri, and Mississippi State are projected to have 6.5 wins while former head coach of Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns, Billy Napier is projected to have a year only slightly worse but better than Vandy with 5.5 wins for his Florida Gators in the upcoming season.
You can see all the SEC schools projected win totals here, as well as win projections for other major college football powers too. The DraftKings site did not post win totals for schools other than those in the Power 5 conferences.
Week 0 games will begin on August 26th. The LSU Tigers will open play in the 2023 season on September 3rd. They'll face the Florida State Seminoles in Orlando on a Sunday night. By the way, DraftKings has set the win total number for Florida State at 10 for the 2023 season.
