The Consumer Product Safety Commission handles product recalls a little differently than the Food and Drug Administration handles recalls. The FDA uses a "Class System" to detail the severity and urgency of a recall situation. For the FDA, a Class I recall is the most serious. That threat level means there is a risk of injury or death.

The other categories of recalls from the FDA include a Class II threat, which is for products that could create temporary or medically reversible effects, or there is a remote chance of serious harm. A Class III threat or recall from the FDA suggests it is unlikely to cause adverse health consequences.

Meanwhile, the way the Consumer Product Safety Commission categorizes its threat levels for American consumers works like this. For the CPSB, a Class C notice suggests there is a potential for moderate injury or illness. A Class B notice suggests the potential for serious injury. And in the case of the recall issued for Amazon, the Class A threat is the one where serious injury and death are possible outcomes.

What Is The Baby Product Sold on Amazon That Has Been Recalled?

What makes this current recall advisory so serious, besides the actual threat of injury and or death, is the fact that the product is used around babies. The product in question is sold under the brand name Anna Queen, specifically the Anna Queen Play Yard, which was available for sale on Amazon until March of this year.

The risk to infants comes when they become entrapped under the mattress of the play yard or between the side of the product and the mattress. The impacted products have the words "Model: P700" and "Production Date:202503" printed on the packaging and removable tags.
