Residents in Louisiana are on the struggle bus. The Bayou State ranks 6th in the nation for the number of residents that suffer from depression or anxiety.
The data presented by Nova Kratom shows more than 26% of the population in Louisiana is dealing with these problems.
What States Are in the Top 10 for Depression
West Virginia, Alaska and Mississippi rank as the top three, at 27.23%, 27.13% and 27.12% respectively.
Oklahoma is #4 with Kentucky at #5.
Louisiana checks in at 6th.
Utah and Oregon are 7th and 8th.
Arkansas ranks ninth with 25.53% of population showing symptoms of depression and anxiety.
New Mexico ranks 10th.
A spokesperson for Nova Kratom commented on the findings: "What is particularly striking is that this is not confined to one region or one type of state. From the rural South to the Pacific Northwest to Alaska, roughly one in four adults are reporting these symptoms."
