Some very well known folks are coming to the aid of the three burned churches in St. Landry Parish. A Go Fund Me page has been set by the Seventh District Baptist Association up to rebuild the historically black churches, and so far, almost $2 million dollars has been raised in just 7 days. St. Mary Baptist Church, Greater Union Baptist Church and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church were allegedly set on fire by 21 year old Holden Matthews.

Actresses Mandy Moore and Busy Philips both gave $1,000, talk show host Megyn Kelley donated $5,000, SNL Alum Seth Meyers gave $1,000, 'Sex and the City' actress Kristin Davis donated $1,000 and actress Constance Marie gave $500.

The funds will be used to rebuild the churches, and a statement on the page says 'We are working with the Governor of Louisiana, local leaders, elected officials, the impacted churches and their pastors, other faith organizations and the community to ensure 100% of all funds raised will be evenly distributed to the three churches affected.'
