Carencro Girl is Making Bracelets to Help Rescue Dogs and Cats

(Carencro, LA) - A local girl has a goal this summer, and it's to help the animals at Acadiana Animal Aid. The young Harper is crafting bracelets and donating the funds raised to Acadiana Animal Aid.

Acadiana Animal Aid has many volunteers, and Harper is one of their junior volunteers. She creates and sells the bracelets for the animals.

Harper Is Spending Her Time Making Lives Better for Rescue Animals

Harper is hoping to raise $500 by the end of July, and she is already on her way to making her dream a reality.

In a post by Acadiana Animal Aid, they make an excellent point: too often, we might tell young people that they are too young to do anything or to help a group they are passionate about. In the case of adults, we may think we don't have time or energy to help.

We had a chance to speak with Harper to ask why she supports Acadiana Animal Aid, and she told us it's a wonderful facility with an amazing staff and great volunteers.

Why Harper Is Helping the Animals at Acadiana Animal Aid

When Harper received a bracelet-making kit, she decided to use it to help Acadiana Animal Aid because she loves the facility and animals. She says she wants to do what she can for the animals. In her words,

Dogs love to snuggle, they will be your fur-ever friends, and I love to spend time at Acadiana Animal Aid.

One of Harper's favorite dogs that is currently up for adoption is King. Harper says King is sweet, kind, loves to snuggle, and loves to play.

In addition to the bracelets with the paw charm, Harper also makes bracelets with cat charms.

How You Can Purchase a Bracelet from Harper to Help Acadiana Animal Aid

To purchase a bracelet from Harper, visit her during Acadiana Animal Aid's open house on Saturday, June 20, at 142 Le Médicin Road in Carencro. They are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Harper will also be at PetSmart on Johnston Street during Acadiana Animal Aid's adoption event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
