Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri has been named the best drama film of the year at the Golden Globes, and thank god or else Mildred Hayes might have attacked the HFPA with vicious billboards.

Martin McDonagh’s film about the hatred and rage stewing inside Americans won the Globe for the Best Motion Picture Drama on Sunday night. Three Billboards beat out Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, Steven Spielberg’s The Postand Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name

Frances McDormand leads the film as a foul-mouthed grieving mother who rocks a buzzed undercut and denim jumpsuit like no other. After the local authorities fail to find the man who raped an murderer her daughter, Frances takes justice into her own hands, posting up three billboards to call out Woody Harrelson’s police chief.

The film was nominated in five other categories and took home awards for Best Actress in a Drama for McDormand, Best Supporting Actor for Sam Rockwell, and Best Screenplay.
