Man Seen Driving Go-Cart on I-10 in Baton Rouge
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - You never know what you may see while driving along I-10 in Louisiana, and one person documents the unimaginable.
Have you ever been on the road and you see something happening, and immediately you say to yourself, "That can't be happening."
Well, had I seen what someone saw on I-10 in Baton Rouge, those would have been my words. Someone saw a man driving a Go-Cart on I-10 West, and this has to be one of the wildest things I've ever seen on the busy interstate.
While the Go-Cart was traveling at a high rate of speed, which was certainly not safe, this guy must have had people turning their heads. Not only was this unsafe for the person driving the Go-Cart on I-10 in Baton Rouge, but it also distracted others, which could have put them in danger on the interstate.
Go-Karts Not Permitted on Louisiana Interstate
According to the Louisiana Legislature, Go-Karts are strictly prohibited on interstates, as they often lack the required lighting and equipment.
In addition to lacking the proper lighting and safety equipment required for interstate travel, Go-Karts often lack the speed to maintain a safe flow of traffic.
For those who wish to legally ride Go-Karts in Louisiana, it is recommended that you ride them on private property or tracks, where you can't put yourself or others in danger.

Now, let's get to the video from Baton Rouge that has so many asking why anyone would do this on the interstate. Here's the wild video posted by OnlyinBatonRouge on Instagram.
We don't know if this man attempted to cross the Mississippi River Bridge or why he elected to drive this illegal "vehicle" on I-10. Perhaps with gas prices as high as they are, this was his only alternative.
