Funeral Services have been announced for Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Hall of Fame member Garrett O'Connor, who passed away on February 4th.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 3:00 pm at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard.  Visitation will be Thursday at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Drive from 9:00 am until time of services.

Garrett O'Connor, 56, graduated from UL in 1985 with a degree in business administration.  He won 22 games in his UL career, including wins over Texas and LSU.  He was named to the UL Hall of Fame in 2003.

He also spent 26 years as an umpire, calling many games at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field and was on the roster as a Sun Belt Conference umpire.  He also managed the Pinhook location of Chris' Po-Boys for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, his three children and two stepchildren, a grandchild and several siblings.
