If you are a fan of Louisiana's unique art and culture scene, then you're in luck. The Helis Foundation will once again present one of their most popular summertime events, "Art & AC". Every Sunday in July Louisiana residents will get free admission into The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and The New Orleans Museum of Art. Over the years, more than 10,000 citizens of the Bayou State have enjoyed the annual event which brings local art and cultural institutuions to people who might not otherwise get to enjoy them.

According to the Foundation website "Both NOMA and Ogden Museum are asking guests to reserve a time to visit online. While both will still accept walk-in visitors, they strongly suggest people reserve a visitation time to ensure proper social distancing." Safety protocols, and more info about the special events can be found on the individual museum websites. And of course, due to the present coronavirus circumstances, you definetly need to check with the institutions for hours of operations. The schedule for "Art & AC" is below.

New Orleans Museum of Art - July 12, 19, 26

Ogden Museum of Southern Art - July 5, 12, 19, 26

The Helis Foundation has year round programs to underwrite free admission to some of New Orleans' most famous and culturally rich museums and institutions. Some of those include the New Orleans Botanical Garden, which includes the Enrique Alférez Sculpture Garden, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
