A former St. Martinville police officer, 36-year old, Codi Dodge was sentenced in federal court yesterday this week to nine years in prison on four felony counts.

Dodge was the former Deputy Chief of Investigations.

Dodge was convicted in November for using excessive force on a suspect, filing a false report, and tampering with a victim, witness, or informant, dating back to 2016.

U.S. Federal Judge Elizabeth Foote also sentenced Dodge to 3 years of supervised probation upon the completion of his prison sentence.
