Flood Watches, Warnings; Reports Of Rising Water Throughout Acadiana
Acadia, Lafayette, and St. Landry Parishes are all under a Flash Flood Warning until 10:45 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. This is in addition to the Flash Flood Watch that is in effect for all of Acadiana until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Several listeners have called to give reports of standing and rising water throughout Acadiana. Here's what we've gotten so far:
A KPEL listener reports Hwy. 182 in downtown Sunset is flooded, and water is rising quickly on Hwy. 754 between Church Point and Sunset.
In Lafayette Parish, Dulles between Rue Debelier and Rue Violin near the Family Life Church is flooding.
Road debris is being reported at Hwy. 182 and Hwy. 96 in Broussard..
Reports of an 18-wheeler in the median on Interstate 49 South in the Sunset area.
Reports of flooding on the NW Evangeline Thruway between Johnston and 13th Streets.
The underpass at Hwy. 182 at Hwy. 90 in Broussard is flooded.
Bonin Rd from Ambassador to Fortune roundabout with reported rising water.
Flooding in Maurice at Hwy 92. Corner is flooded.
Just past Grand Coteau/Sunset overpass there's an 18 wheeler in the median and lots of emergency vehicles- can't be seen until you get to top of overpass.

Highway 182 in downtown Sunset 6 to 8 inches of water on road
Highway 754 between Church Pt. and Sunet water rising

Dulles btwn Rue De Belier and Rue Violin near the church starting to flood
Flash Flood Warning for Acadia, Lafayette and St. Landry Parishes

Advisory: Water beginning to cover roadway on Whiteoak Hwy near Roberts Cove Robers Cove Road, Rayne use caution.
Report from listener: "Ambassador is a parking lot. Verot flooded, quail hallow flooded. I do morning carpool and seems my car was a boat this morning never seen this much flooding."
Landry Road between Fieldspan and Dulles has water over it.
Willow at Ambassador is reportedly flooded.
Continuous heavy rains, especially in south St. Landry Parish have caused many roadways to flood. At this time no parish roads have been closed.

Hwy 190 on east side of Eunice (in front of Amy Shopping Center)
Hwy 182 at Montgomery Rd.
Cormier Rd.
Bayou Fuselier Rd.
Napoleon St. at Pershing Hwy & Landry St.
Jennings Rd. South of Hwy 742.
