Fire Destroys Apartments At Maison Lafitte On South College

Lafayette Fire Department spokesman Alton Trahan says two firefighters suffered minor injuries in the blaze, which has now been put out.

Trahan tells KPEL 41 units were evacuated; 10 were destroyed.

Lafayette Fire officials are on the scene of a fire at an apartment complex on South College.

Our news partners at KATC say there is a fire reported at Maison Lafitte Apartments at 1108 South College.

Emergency officials have been quoted as saying it's a "large apartment fire".
