Fans Are Angry With Reggie
In his five NFL seasons , Reggie Bush has not enjoyed unviersal support from Saints fans. A couple years ago, I was having Thanksgiving dinner with some friends & the Saints were a prominent topic of conversation.
Several people were being bitterly critical of Reggie, expressing the sentiment that the Saints should 'get rid' of him. I piped up with some stats that didn't support their case, reminding them that at that point in the season he was 2nd in the NFL in receptions with 41 and leading the league in touchdowns with 11. The problem is...He got hurt...He's an exceptional athlete, explosive and extremely dangerous with the ball in his hands. over a 4 season stretch he handled the ball an average of 15 times a game, averaging 8 yards per touch.
Fans Are Angry With Reggie
Many fans have questioned his toughness, and commitment. He is often injured and relationships with the likes of Kim Kardashian have led many Saints' fans to label Reggie as too 'Hollywood'.
Some recent tweets aren't going to help his case. 'Everybody's complaining about the lockout! Shoot I'm making the best of it! Vacation, rest, relaxing. appearances here and tere! I'm good!' 'Right about now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat, practicing twice a day, while putting our bodies at risk for nothing.' The Saints saelected Heismann Trophy winning running back Mark Ingram from The University of Alabama in last weeks NFL draft.
