Family Dog Dies in House Fire in Scott

A trailer fire in the 1400 block of St. Mary Street claimed the life of a family pet on Thursday.

Scott firefighters say the blaze started from an electrical short in the rear bedroom. This caused major damage in the bedroom.

No one was home when the fire started. There were no firefighters or people injured in the incident.
