April 21st Event: LASOAR Outdoor Adventure Kids (OAK) Hiking Trip 1
Look under rocks, play in the dirt, identify mushrooms, and learn about local trees on the upcoming LASOAR Outdoor Adventure Kids Hiking Trip to the Acadiana Park Nature Station on Saturday April 21st from 10:00am-Noon. The LASOAR Outdoor Adventure Kids program mission is to provide opportunities for children and families to reconnect with the natural world. LASOAR seeks out local Scientists, Natural Science Curators, Environmentalists, Naturalists, and Adventure Guides who share their expertise by leading and instructing participants during all outdoor adventure activities. Participation is $15 for LASOAR members and $25 for non-members. Join the LASOAR Hiking Club and receive a $5 discount for each hiking trip, an Outdoor Adventure Kids hiking club T-shirt, and an invitation to a free camping trip at a primitive camp ground with plenty of fishing and hiking for the whole family. LASOAR Hiking Club dues are $80/year for LASOAR members and $150/year for Non Members. The LASOAR Hiking Club takes 8 trips/year to various trails, state parks, and nature conservancies around the state of Louisiana.
