Emergency Shelter Opening For Acadiana Homeless Due To Freezing Weather
Catholic Services of Acadiana is preparing to help Acadiana homeless in the event of freezing weather.
Catholic Services of Acadiana is prepared to open to offer shelter to the homeless when temperatures drop below 36 degrees. Forecasts for Thanksgiving night currently call for a low of 36 degrees.
The shelter location is St. Joseph's Shelter for Men near downtown Lafayette.
Several beds will be available for those in need, and shelter officials request that anyone needing assistance arrive to the shelter by 6 p.m.
