Eat Lafayette – Poor Boy’s Riverside Inn

My first Eat Lafayette adventure for 2015 brought me to Poor Boy's Riverside Inn, a legendary spot that is literally a hidden gem, tucked away in an industrial area at 204 Tubing Rd. in Broussard, off Highway 90 and Southpark Rd. But when you arrive, you'll be transported to a lush landscape which includes a soothing fountain and some of the most delicious seafood on the planet, including my favorite their famous seafood-filled "House Salad" (including shrimp, crabmeat, and crawfish tossed with lettuce, cheese, bacon, and a mild dressing, garnished with a selection of pickled vegetables.) It's so big, we often order a cup of gumbo and then split the salad for a perfect lunch!
