This edition of Eat Lafayette takes us to Cajun Works: The Real Cajun Deal on Rees Street in Breaux Bridge.

Cajun Works feels just like being at the camp, surrounded by Cajun culture. Toby Kimball grew up spending most of his time at the family's camp in St. Landry Parish, and brings those experiences to life through delicious dishes in his restaurant. Not only do you get the great food, but the restaurant is adorned with Cajun memorabilia and placards that trace the steps of our Cajun ancestors.

While we were there, we were treated to different types of meats that were seasoned and shaped into balls and fried. Chicken, Alligator, Rabbit, Venison - they were all delicious. Also, the fried shrimp and catfish, coated with Cajun Works' fry batter, were crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. So good!!

Stop in to Cajun Works: The Real Cajun Deal for a great meal, or just drive by to pick some up for the road!
