The Crowley Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that occurred late Tuesday afternoon which left two people injured.

According to Police Chief Jimmy Broussard, at approximately 5:30 pm officers responded to a shooting at the 500 block of Avenue A. Once on the scene, officers discovered a 17-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The teen was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

About 30 minutes later, and while officers were still on scene at the first shooting, they heard gunshots fired nearby.

Officers responded to that incident at the 1200 block of W. Fourth Street, according to Broussard. When they arrived on the scene, officers located a 21-year-old male victim who had been wounded by gunfire.
