THC laced cereal is just one of the many things Acadia Parish Sheriff's officials found when they raided a Crowley home.

Deputies recovered thirty-one bags of cereal that officials say was fruit flavored.

They recovered 14 Hydrocodone pills, 50 vape pens that were also laced with THC, forty-three Aplrazolam pills, eighty grams of methamphetamine, seven Clonazepmam along with scales, packaging and grinders used for packaging

Sheriff K.P. Gibson,

"During this search, deputies recovered roughly fifty vape pens of assorted flavors and thirty-one bags of fruit cereal, which both were coated with THC. These items, especially the vape pens, are known to be popular with teenagers and young adults. These items have been taken off the streets before it reached our youth."

Deputies arrested 25-year-old Matthew Adams at his home in the 100 block of Barbara Drive after executing the search warrant.

Gibson says agents were able to find money orders and cash in the amount of $7,000.

Adams was arrested on multiple charges including the following:

  • Possession with intent to distribute Hydrocodone
  • Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine
  • Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana
  • Possession with intent to distribute Clonazepam
  • Possession with intent to distribute Alprazolam
  • Possession with intent to distribute Legend Drugs
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Transactions involving proceeds of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile

Mr. Adams was booked into the Acadia Parish Correctional Center and booked on these charges.
