I hope you have the thick jackets ready for early next week.

According to a long-range Canadian model, the deep south could see some really cold temperatures move into the region by early next week.

How cold? Well, according to the weather model, we could actually dip below the freezing point early Tuesday morning (Nov 12th).

With that said, there is also a chance of rain/sleet in the forecast. Yes, we may see ice pellets falling from the sky by early next week in our area.

So, prepare yourself for some winter weather/temperatures by early next week in south Louisiana and let it be known, winter is knocking on the door.

On a side note, there are no school closures announced thus far.
