
Children Found Sleeping With Drugs, Firearm In Opelousas
St. Landry parish authorities found 2 children sleeping in a room with bags of marijuana in an Opelousas home. KLFY reports, Sheriff deputies found eight bags of marijuana, an AK-47, and more than $2,000 in cash in the home. They arrested 26 year old Brandon Thibodeaux. It's illegal for Thibodeaux to possess a firearm because he's a convicted felon. He was booked into the St. Landry Parish jail on Monday. Thibodeaux faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and other charges.
