Chaz Bono Shares His Story

Chaz Bono got a new name and gender change last year and the 42-year-old is now openly discussing the lengthy process toward making his true identity a reality and sharing it with the world.

Chaz, formerly Chastity, the only child of Sonny & Cher, did not have much privacy, so Chaz chose to be upfront about his transition from female to male. Chaz talked with Oprah Winfrey about his life change and his book; “Transition: The Story of How I Became a Man.”

Chaz Bono “felt like a boy as a child and in puberty, he says he felt like his body was betraying him.” Chaz will go deeper into his life changing story in a documentary scheduled to air on OWN Tuesday night.
