
Centerville Man Dies In Mobile Home Fire
A pre-dawn fire in St. Mary Parish claimed the life of a Centerville man Thursday.
According to our news partner, KATC, the Franklin Fire Department responded to the fire on Bonnie Road just before 2 a.m.
Firefighters reported to the scene to find the house completely engulfed in flames.
State fire marshal investigators report the body of 67-year-old Stanley Damron was found inside the structure that was totally destroyed by the blaze.
Though the source of the fire has yet to be determined, investigators reported Damron was a heavy smoker who lived in the home crowded with items in storage.
