Carol Channing Has Died

Fox News is reporting this morning that legendary actress and performer Carol Channing has died.

Her publicist told Fox that Channing has died at the age of 97.

She is best known for her portrayal of Dolly Levi from "Hello Dolly!"

She died early this morning at her home in Rancho Mirage, California.

Channing's publicist B Harlan Boll issued a statement to the press today, and he told Broadway World,

"It is so very hard to see the final curtain lower on a woman who has been a daily part of my life for more than a third of it. We supported each other, cried with each other, argued with each other, but always ended up laughing with each other."
