Camila Cabello and Boyfriend Matthew Hussey Have Reportedly Broken Up
Camila Cabello and boyfriend Matthew Hussey have reportedly split after 18 months together.
According to The Sun, the couple mutually decided to go their separate ways because they felt their relationship had run its course. The pair, who started dating in early 2018 and never once posted photos on social media, were last photographed together in Los Angeles in May after a romantic getaway to Italy.
“Camila’s relationship with Matthew had run its course and they decided to break up about a fortnight ago," a source told the outlet. “It was a mutual decision to end things. But they have spent a lot of time together over the last year and a half and want to stay friends despite going their own way."
“This is, of course, going to fuel rumors that she and Shawn [Mendes] have become more than just pals though," the insider added, most likely also referring to the steamy "Senorita" music video they dropped last week.
In the video, the "Havana" singer and the Canadian heartthrob show off some serious PDA and sexy dance moves, which have re-sparked romance rumors between them. Though they've always denied they were anything more than just best friends, their on-screen chemistry is truly undeniable.
Following the video's release, fans could not help but wonder if the two were secretly dating, and now that she and Hussey have called it quits, this will certainly add fuel to the fire.
The last time Cabello opened up about her relationship with Hussey was back in November 2018, telling Marie Claire she was "in love" with her British boyfriend and that he made her "the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
“Any time he’s there, I get super nervous. I stutter or my hands are shaky,” she told the magazine. “He’s so similar to me... In person, we’re just weird and silly and stupid together."
