The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun football team concludes their 2016 season on Saturday night, taking on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

The game will serve as the fifth time in the last six years that Louisiana has played in the bowl game.

The pregame show begins at  6 pm, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and, as well as Hot 107.9 and, along with the entire Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Radio Network.

For fans in the New Orleans area, the entire broadcast can be heard on 990am, WGSO.

Kickoff time at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. is set for 8 o’clock.

This will be the 52nd meeting between the two football programs with the Golden Eagles holding a 39-11-1 overall mark in the series.

Louisiana defeated ULM, 30-13, in their regular season finale two weeks ago, to improve to 6-6, overall, while finishing Sun Belt Conference play with a 5-3 mark.

Offensively, the Cajuns are averaging 23.8 points-per-game, to go along with 369.5 total yards, including 180.8 rushing yards, and 185.2 passing yards, while allowing 25.1 points, and 370.6 total yards, including 128.7 rushing yards, and 241.9 passing yards.

Louisiana is led by senior quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has completed 185-of-303 passes for 2,083 yards and 11 touchdowns, and senior running back Elijah McGuire, who has rushed for 1,028 yards and seven touchdowns.

Southern Miss, representing Conference USA, ended their regular season schedule with an overall record of 6-6, while going 4-4 league play.

Offensively, the Golden Eagles are averaging 33.2 points-per-game, to go along with 472.1 total yards, including 177.8 rushing yards, and 294.2 passing yards a contest, while allowing 30.2 points, to go along with 330.9 total yards, including 149.3 rushing yards, and 181.6 passing yards.

Southern Miss is paced by senior quarterback Caleb Evans, who has completed 218-of-344 passes for 2,926 yards and 22 touchdowns, and junior running back Ito Smith, who has rushed for 1,321 yards and 15 touchdowns.
