Cajun Navy Continues Searching for Seacor Power Crew; Donations Needed
Even as the United States Coast Guard announced it is calling of its search of the gulf, members of the United Cajun Navy will continue searching and are in need of donations for fuel as they look for lost crew members of the Seacor Power.
According to their Facebook page, the Cajun Navy is sending up airplanes to search the area near the Seacor Power, a work boat with 19 crew members on board, that capsized in the Gulf of Mexico. Divers discovered another body on the vessel yesterday, bringing the number of crew members unaccounted for to 8.
Aboard one of the planes is Scott Daspit, the father of one of the missing crew members.
The Cajun Navy is known for using civilian volunteers to help in rescue operations during natural disasters like hurricanes and floods and is assisting in the search during this tragedy.
