The body of a Bossier City man was found yesterday after the man had last had contact with his family on Friday, August 29.

According to Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office, foul play is not suspected in the death of 67-year-old Clifford Broussard.

A utility worker and another person both phoned authorities saying they saw a body in the Courtableau Bayou.

The last communication the family had with Broussard was a text message, and when they couldn't reach the man, a search began.

The body was found in the bayou area near Bada's Bar, and his body was recovered by search and rescue officials with the sheriff's office.

Broussard had been at his camp off of Louisiana Highway 103 because the place had been burglarized. he was trying to make repairs. While he was originally at the camp in Washington, his body was recovered some distance away from that area.

Thibodeaux says an autopsy is being conducted on Broussard.
