If you've driven on or near the UL campus, you know the traffic can be a nightmare. There's good news. The bicycle lanes are now open. Lafayette Consolidated Government began work on the project several months ago, with the goal of reducing vehicular traffic, and making it safer for students to get around on bicycles. Bicycles have become an increasingly popular mode of transportation among Hub City residents.

UL Lafayette’s associate director of Public Safety and risk management, Joey Pons reminds cyclists, pedestrians, and motorists to familiarize themselves with the changes, and the rules of the road.
