Bastrop Student Says Prayer At Graduation

Last Wednesday, the Bastrop Enterprise newspaper ran an article about a student who complained to the administration at Bastrop High School about the planned inclusion of a prayer at the commencement ceremony this past Friday night. Okay, welcome back.   Did you read the comments in the article that came from one of the staff members, Mitzi Quinn?  Well, in response to those comments, the Freedom From Religion Foundation has started a campaign to have that teacher disciplined.

Now, to top it all off, according to www.mysanantonio.com, Friday night, at the graduation ceremony, one of the students (Laci Rae Mattice ), who was scheduled to ask for a 'moment of silence', walked up to the podium and did this.  BE SURE TO CLICK ON THIS AND WATCH/LISTEN! Well, was that the most resounding 'AMEN' that you have ever heard??

I'll tell you, I'm not big on religion, but I am big on people standing up for their beliefs, BOTH the young man who made the initial complaint, and Laci Rae Mattice, who has HUGE intestinal fortitude!!
