Shoppers in Acadiana Mall Can Now Ride Stuffed Animals Through Facility

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - If you have kids and you are going shopping at the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette, get ready to rent a large stuffed animal that they can ride on while you walk the aisles.

I recently saw a video on social media of kids riding these large stuffed animals in the mall, and because we are in the artificial intelligence era, I thought that the video may be fake.

Well, after speaking with the mother of the kids in the video, I learned that the video is not fake and that you can actually rent and ride these large stuffed animals throughout the Acadiana Mall.

Brooke Thbodeaux Carriere tells me that they are called "Stuffy Riders" and that parents can rent them just past the food court. She says that they are located in the center of an aisle, and that you cannot miss them.

As you'll see here, it's not only kids who seem to be enjoying these rides throughout the mall; some parents seem to like the Stuffy Rides too.

The rides can be rented from 10 am to 7 pm, and by the looks of it, this seems to be as much fun as shopping. However, if you're on one of these, you'll need to be aware of your surroundings as they seem to actually travel at a decent rate of speed.

I looked up this "service" on their website, and they are available to rent in various malls across the country, not just in Lafayette. Perhaps this is the latest attraction to get people back in the malls across the country, and I cannot lie, I want to try this soon.

So, if you see me or any of my colleagues in the Acadiana Mall riding these, go the opposite way, as you don't want to be anywhere near us as we navigate through the mall. I will say this: these adorable rides may come in handy when you're out shopping this holiday season.

Brooke says this to parents: if your kids get on these, you need to rent one for yourself too, because she says there's no keeping up with them if you are walking.

In another video, you even see some of the parents on the ride, and as Brooke stated above, you need them to keep up with your kids while they're on them.
