I don't know about you, but I don't care very much for mowing the lawn, and that's why we have a friend that helps us out with that. What I like even less is the thought of someone taking my zero turn mower and utility trailer!

Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers is hoping someone will have information to help the property owners get their things back.

Authorities believe that around midnight on June 5, someone took off with a 2016 John Deere zero turn mower. The model number for the black colored lawnmower is Z970R. Now, the mower, while it was painted black, actually shows several spots where the original John Deere green paint can be clearly seen.

The other thing that the thief made off with was a 14 foot single axle utility trailer that has a drop gate. And this utility trailer was not very old, much like the lawnmower which is a 2016 model.

Officials say someone in an older model SUV made off with these items from the 4200 block of Ebenezer Road. That road is located south of the Crowley area.

In addition to knowing the vehicle is an SUV, they also know the vehicle has some non-functioning lights. So if you are looking at it, the lights on the front and back of the vehicle on the passenger side are not working. The suspect apparently drove off going south on the roadway.

If you know something about this case, please share that information with Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers. If you do share information that leads to the arrest of the suspect, the Crime Stoppers group might reward you with cash. You could get up to a 1,000 bucks.

You can call anonymously to the Acadia Parish Crime Stoppers line at 337-789-TIPS(8477). Another anonymous way to give information is to download and use the P3 app on your phone.
